Keeley McCormick , from the Appoquinimink FFA chapter, is the 2023-2024 State Reporter. She has recently committed to the University of Delaware, where she will begin her studies in the Fall of 2023 and she plans on one day becoming an agricultural educator and an FFA advisor. She started her FFA journey in the 6th grade at Alfred G. Waters Middle, and was hooked when she competed in her first CDE: floriculture. She knew she wanted to one day run and hopefully serve as a state officer after her first National Convention, which she attended her eight grade year. With the help and support of her advisors, Mr. Stephen Cook, Mrs. Brandy Timpson, and Ms. Marian Handlin her dreams both, inside and outside of FFA and agriculture have flourished.

“The hardest thing I have had to do within FFA has been to break out of my shell. Growing up I was always the shy kid, it always took a lot for me to open up. FFA has helped me to open up and become more extroverted around people, which is important when serving as a leader.”
