Trey Thompson, a graduate of Smyrna High School, is the 2019-2020 Delaware FFA State Treasurer. He currently attends Delaware Tech where he is studying to become a paramedic.
Trey learned about FFA through his grandmother who heard about the positive impact the organization makes. She told him to join, so he did. His FFA experience began in seventh grade at Smyrna Middle School.
His most challenging FFA experience was competing in two CDEs at National FFA Convention, because it’s difficult to study for two contests at the same time, he said.
“I am more than excited to create relationships with members,” Trey said. “I want to inspire members to be the best they can be the same way I was inspired in my early stages of being in the organization.”
Here are some of Trey’s favorite things:
CDE: Parliamentary Procedure
Hobbies: Riding horses and roller skating
