CDE Statewide Practice Schedule

The National FFA Organization contests have changed so they do not just cover Career Development Events (CDEs) but also Leadership Development Events (LDE’s), in order to reflect the focus on skills that students were developing and to help better prepare them for future careers in agriculture. The various CDE’s and LDE’s provided by FFA help lead students to one of the over 300 careers found within the food, science and business areas of the agriculture industry.

The Delaware FFA Association has 26 Career Development Events and Leadership Development Events that it holds each year for FFA Members. The main Career and Leadership Development Events are held three times a year: State Convention (March), CDE/LDE Week (June), and at the Delaware State Fair (July). Through the Delaware FFA Foundation, companies can sponsor a Career or Leadership Development Event to cover the costs of the 1st place team/individual to attend the National FFA Convention, and in some cases the 2nd place team to attend The Big E Regional Event at Springfield, MA (For Agriscience Fair- the top score from each room judged will be sent to Big E- up to three displays.  In the event that the top score from that room cannot attend, the next top first place score in that room shall attend).
